Singapore has earned its reputation of being one of the most liveable cities in the world. With a total population of more than five million people but land measuring a mere 700 square kilometres, the city has effectively coped with land constraints and population density. It has done so through a combination of effective planning and good urban design.
This year, UDIA NSW is launching a study tour to Singapore, one of the world’s truly sustainable cities. It is living proof that strong central planning can be an effective tool in devising new approaches to global challenges of growing populations and housing shortages.
In this trip, you will meet with the people who have helped make successful Singaporean projects, from private developers and consultants to government representatives, who are eager to share their experiences and knowledge with their Australian counterparts. We invite you to come along for the learning trip of a lifetime to this vibrant, exciting and very enjoyable city.
